How to Provide Custom Artwork
All artwork requests should be uploaded via our website or emailed to foothillscustomgifts@gmail.com
Production time begins when order is confirmed and artwork and purchase order are received.
When ordering custom products please specify:
• Size and type of material
• Quantity
• Orientation
• Any special instructions
Artwork is PREFERRED in the following PC formats:
- CorelDraw (.cdr) or Adobe Illustrator (saved as .eps or .pdf)
- All digital artwork should be supplied as line art (vector art).
All type must be converted to outlines (curves). Hard copy artwork should be as large as possible within 8.5” x 11” for scanning purposes.
All artwork created on a Macintosh should be saved in a PC format with type converted to outlines.
Images that contain halftones, tints, grayscales or are intended for process color separation should have a bitmap resolution of at least 300 pixels-per-inch and supplied at finished size or larger. All artwork files should also be emailed in a PDF format for reference.
Word documents, faxes, photocopies, business cards & letterheads are NOT considered acceptable artwork and CANNOT BE USED FOR ARTWORK.
JPEGs, GIFFs, TIFFs and all other bitmap files (not vector based) can be submitted for use at a resolution of NO LESS than 300 pixels-per-inch and supplied at finished size or larger.
What if my artwork is not acceptable?
Layout of copy and art will be at our discretion unless specifications are clearly marked on the order or finished art is supplied. Finished products are only as good as the artwork supplied. Please make sure your artwork is acceptable before submission. Foothills Custom Gifts can help you with your artwork for a charge of $30 per hour.
Wood Products
Our wood products are mixture of man made wood such as plywood, MDF, and natural wood products. Our basswood boards are grown and sourced in the USA. Natural wood is a growing changing thing so no two items will be exactly alike. Grain patterns and other factors can effect color of product from image supplied. All natural wood has the ability to expand and contrast slightly with humidity changes. We try to mitigate this by sealing our wood with appropriate sealers, but no sealer is guaranteed and sometimes wood can crack due to humidity changes that are beyond our control. All of our products are sanded to reduce the chance of splinters, however you should handle with care or gloves to prevent splinters.
Hats
Our Hats are usually Richardson brand or Yupoong. The patches are high grade leatherette. Our patches are heat pressed using a high strength adhesive. Pictures of patch colors can be confusing please feel free to message us to confirm the patch color name to the patch color that you like.

As most of our products are custom or handmade shipping and processing can take up to 7 days.
